What if we told you that you could make your baths even more relaxing by adding homemade THC and CBD bath bombs?

Weed-infused bath bombs are the perfect way to enjoy THC or CBD without having to inhale or eat anything. But do weed bath bombs work? Do THC bath salts or THC-infused bath bombs get you high? In this article, we will answer this question and provide step-by-step directions to teach you to make your own CBD bath bombs and THC-infused bath bombs.

If you're ready to take your bath time to a whole new level, keep reading!

How do CBD bath bombs work?

CBD bath bombs work through transdermal ingestion, the absorption of a substance through your skin. CBD penetrates the skin to provide health benefits such as:

  • Relieve mild muscle tension
  • Relieve mild aches and pains
  • May reduce redness of skin
  • Helps you relax and refresh

Do CBD bath bombs really work?

There are many benefits to CBD bath bombs. CBD oil has been shown to be helpful for relieving daily stress, easing mild pain, and uplifting and energizing your mind. By using CBD oil in a bath bomb, you can enjoy these benefits without having to eat or smoke anything.

If you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed, a warm bath with a soothing CBD oil bath bomb can help you relax.

How to make a CBD oil bath bomb

Making CBD oil bath bombs is easy and fun. To make four large CBD oil bath bombs or six small CBD oil bath bombs, you will need the following materials and ingredients:

Materials to make CBD bath bomb

  • Bath bomb molds
  • Disposable gloves
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cup for liquids and dry ingredients
  • Measuring spoons
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk or large mixing spoon

Ingredients to make CBD bath bomb

  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • CBD oil, 1 dropper full for each bath bomb you make
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. of skin moisturizing oil (examples: almond oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, avocado oil, rosehip oil)

  4. Put on the disposable gloves, scoop the mixture with your hands and pack it into your molds.
  5. Let the bath bombs dry for 24 hours before using them.

In five simple steps, and about 15 minutes (not counting the time to dry), you can make a batch of homemade CBD oil bath bombs.

How to make THC bath bombs

Now that you're an expert in making CBD oil bath bombs, we're going to discuss making THC oil bath bombs. The process to make THC-infused bath bombs is very easy.

Here's how to make THC infused bath bombs:

  1. Follow the same steps as above - just use THC oil in place of CBD oil at Step 2.

How to make THC & CBD bath bombs

If you want to make 1:1 THC:CBD bath bombs, or you want to have some variety in your weed-infused bath bomb collection, separate the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients in half so you have two bowls of dry ingredients and two bowls of wet ingredients. Use CBD oil for one half of the bath bombs and THC oil for the other half. This will give you two large CBD oil bath bombs and two large THC oil bath bombs, or three small CBD oil bath bombs and three small THC oil bath bombs.

The best part about making your own bath bombs is that you can customize them with essential oils or special ingredients that you want to soak up in the bathtub. So go ahead and experiment with different essential oils and cannabinoids until you find your favorite combination.

Do THC bath salts make you high?

THC oil bath bombs and bath salts are also absorbed into the skin through transdermal ingestion. Unlike CBD, THC takes longer to absorb into the skin due to its lipophilic and hydrophobic properties. And even over a long period of time, only a very small amount of THC enters you blood stream. For this reason, THC bath salts (and THC-infused bath bombs) will not make you get you high.

However, some cannabis users anecdotally report that THC-infused bath bombs gave them a body high that gradually built over 30-60 minutes.

While you will have to experiment for yourself to see if THC bath salts get you high, topical THC has other benefits. The cannabinoids are absorbed into the skin and interact with receptors in the skin, which may provide local relief from mild pain.
